I guess it is because when I go there, I always lose! It is one of the few casinos I have stayed the weekend in (usually we just drive back and forth from Memphis). The hotel is nice, but the casino just was not showing me any love. I've never left Sam's with any money the three times I have been there. I figure three times is enough of a chance for a casino and with so many more in that location, I just don't go anymore.

Boy oh boy, when I go to play slots, I rarely come home with any money! I am a happy girl if I eat at an awesome buffet, and see an ocean.. In Oregon the casino's are all towards the coast.. I love the entire atmosphere of casino's.. but I can't say that I win real often.. you gotta show me how you do it! If I am there to bring home cash, I must bring much self control, walk past the slots, and straight to the poker room :P Even then there is a chance I will spend that on the strip after walking on the ocean, but I wouldn't trade the expeirence or those barefoot walks in the ocean for anything

30 years old, and I still love to just stand in the Ocean and close my eyes, y'know that feeling that you get, where you are so sure that you are moving that you must open your eyes and check, I love that! Don't suppose I'll ever grow out of it, I am in awe of the Ocean, and all of the places it leads to.. It's beatufil, deadly, soft sweet and brutal, all at once.. and I'm just cheesy like that ;)

I have been to Tunica once, Stayed at Harrahs and played poker at the casino next door that name escapes me(Hollywood?). Sams is across the street and had a poker tournament going that weekend.

I NEVER got over there :(. I was with friends and they were not much on the poker scene so I didn't play much that weekend. Wish I had, come to find out Chris Moneymaker and some other big names were thee.

Lady - Memphis isn't high up in the ocean viewing department' May not be up your alley (LOL).

Yes 4Flush, Harrahs, Hollywood and Sams are in the same general area, but not really close enough for walking so they have the little golf cart things that carry people between the casinos.

And maybe if LadyH closed her eyes, the Mississippi River would sound like an ocean? Okay, maybe not :-)

I look at slots this way - I usually visit the same casinos in Tunica and always pretty much take the same sstarting amount. If I don't win kinda big ($200+) after several visits, I lay off it for a while. Sometimes I go and come home with nothing, sometimes I go and come home with pretty much what I took, and sometimes I go and come home with the big bucks. I figure it all works out in the end.
