Electronic Game Card, Inc. the company behind the Electronic GameCard, has confirmed that MGM Grand Detroit, a subsidiary of MGM MIRAGE, one of the world's leading and most respected hotel and gaming companies, has signed an agreement to promote Electronic GameCards for its gaming property in Detroit. It is the first time any US casino has purchased Electronic GameCards to run a commercial promotion based on the Company’s products.
A spokesperson for Electronic Game Card, Inc. said: “We are delighted that MGM Grand Detroit has become the first US casino to use our Electronic GameCards in a commercial promotion. The casino promotion market represents a significant opportunity for the Company.”
The MGM Grand Detroit Casino is a 75,000-square-foot gaming facility with more than 2,700 slot machines (1 cent - $100), 80 gaming tables and a range of dining facilities. The Electronic GameCard-based promotion is set to begin operations in the third quarter of 2006.
