I'm surprised casinos didn't invest in on-site daycare centers years ago. The one thing that often keeps couples at home in the evening is the inability to find a babysitter. Parents are going to love this idea, and the casino will get a lot more business because of it. |

I thought the Grand in Tunica had a childcare section, but I am not 100% sure. I am not sure how I feel about this. As a parent of a toddler, I'd kinda like to have this option, but it seems wrong. Then again, my parents put me in the bowling alley childcare things and I loved it, so I just don't know. |

I remember in Colorado when I worked in the Casinos, Bullwhackers Casino had a really cool place called Kids-Quest. It was a massive jungle gym, everything a kid could want kind of place. I don't know why, but they closed it down. It was pretty sad because in Black Hawk / Central City there is literally no where for minors to go or anything for them to do while their parents gambled. Which creates an ugly scene - the kids don't want to be there, and who can blame them?? It's neglectful to take your kids to casino towns unless there is some plan for entertaining them. The streets of gambling towns aren't the best place for your kids to be hanging out. |

Kids-Quest sounds like a fantastic place for kids. They'd love it. They could play with other kids while the parents had their fun too. If I had kids, I wouldn't feel the least bit guilty about leaving them in a daycare where they could have fun. It's a shame they closed it down. Hopefully, more casinos will think about adding daycare. Especially now that gambling online isn't going to be an easy option. This might bring more people out to the real casinos. |
