Even the Philadelphia Park Casino was bleeding green during Saturday night's NFC Divisional Playoff game between the Eagles and the Saints.

Before kickoff, Victoria Palmer of Middletown was already a winner.

Palmer was one of the first gamers at Philadelphia Park Casino to win $1,000 in the casino's Payoff Celebration promotion.

The one-day promotion awarded a $1,000 credit every fifteen minutes between 6 p.m. and midnight to anyone playing with the casino's Players Card.

As winners were announced over the casino's loudspeakers, players were greeted by the casino's Prize Patrol.

Palmer was excited as the patrol, clad in Eagles gear, waved Eagles flags and performed a song and dance as they handed Palmer her prize along with an Eagles jersey.

“I got $1,000 and I got number 5,” Palmer said, pointing to her new Donovan McNabb jersey.

“I'm going to take this home with me and hang it up,” she said raising the large $1,000 cardboard check presented to her.

Palmer's husband Michael said he was shocked when he heard his wife's name.

“I heard her name and I was like, wow!” he said.

Dave Jonas, chief operating officer of Philadelphia Park Casino, stood outside the casino as people poured inside. Like the valet parking staff, Jonas wore his Eagles gear.

“We're just going to have some fun with it,” Jonas said of the promotion. “We're giving out $1,000 every 15 minutes. We're playing the game on the TVs and we're giving out jerseys.”

Players said they planned to stay at the casino as long they kept winning and they could watch the Eagles on more than 100 TVs.

“I got so worked up over last week's game with the Giants I just couldn't sit home and do that again,” Bristol Township resident Dolly Ferkel said as she played the slots.

Ferkel said she would have to leave at some point during last night's game.

“I do have to go home and give my husband some support,” she said with a laugh.

Lower Makefield resident Bill Stewart said he hadn't planned to watch the game at the casino, but as long as his wife kept winning he'd be there.

“If that light [on top of the machine] goes off, I'll be staying here,” Stewart said, adding the light would indicate his wife had won.

He said he's glad the casino came to Bucks because it provides a great atmosphere.

Philadelphia resident Art Blankman said he planned to get home before kickoff.

“I'm getting out of here in a few minutes,” he said as he glanced at his watch an hour before the game. “I'm going home to watch the game. I came up here to get something to eat and mess around for a little bit.”
