BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF JOB:
Responsible for the overall repair and maintenance of all electrical and mechanical slot machines under the direction of the Lead Slot Technician.
Responsible for the floor repair and proper preventative maintenance of all slot machines, including cleaning machines, overhauls, etc.
Responsible for the repair, overhaul, and proper preventative maintenance of all electrical and mechanical slot machines in accordance with gaming regulations. Handles the initial set-up and check-out of new slot machines.
Assists the Lead Technician in the break-down, relocation and reset up of machines and stands to be relocated.
Assists floor people in verifying jackpots and fills as needed. Assists in ensuring machine integrity when jackpots occur and at other times requested.
Knowledge of local jurisdiction gaming laws (federal, state, compact, etc.) and attendant regulations as well as Grand Casinos’ internal controls, policies and procedures.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Must have a High school diploma or GED. One year Slot Floor experience. Electronics degree preferred.

DESCRIPTION
SUMMARY: Provides personal attention and ensures quality service to targeted Casino guests, in accordance with the Company's established marketing strategy.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
In coordination with Pit personnel, identifies potential new cash players, visually observes play, and makes verbal contact to develop information necessary for future marketing considerations
Provides credit and complimentaries to such players, based upon gaming actions, assisting with in-house reservations for restaurants, shows, etc. as well as at other properties
Increases special events response through telephone communication, and attends such events and tournaments as escort or host, participating when applicable
Develops, modifies, and enforces departmental performance standards, policies, and procedures
Initiate proper paperwork to ensure accurate player's comp.
Interface with the Credit Department as far as referring customers for evaluation and determination of credit
Maintain and update accurate customer information in accordance with Cash Transaction Reporting guidelines
Support and maintain Horseshoe courtesy guidelines at all times
Promote outstanding guest relations
Perform other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Directly supervises the VIP services representatives.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES\JOB DIMENSIONS: Attendance, which may be modified by Horseshoe from time to time, is an essential function of the job and is required to successfully perform in this position. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Two to five years Casino Operations experience preferred.
One to three years sales experience preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:
Must have outstanding communication skills.
Ability to obtain the appropriate work authorization per gaming regulations required.
Ability to work in a drug free environment and pass a chemical dependency test as required. |
