October 28th - Thique - The band Thique has been performing for Detroit for more than a decade. This five member group is made up of Mike Sanders, Robert Joiner, John Morgan, Aaron Willis and Michael Brown. Thique (The Highest in Quality Unique Entertainment) features such music as Motown classics, the Top 40 hits and a few originals of their own. While off duty from their music, three of the band’s members are on duty as Detroit policemen. Their dedication to Detroit is revealed not only through their work but also through their music. “Ten years ago, we started off playing in Trappers Alley,” said lead vocalist Mike Sanders. “We’d get some wild crowds there, and people still come to see us from ten years ago. We’re so excited to be back in Greektown where it all began. Today the only casino we play is Greektown Casino."

Groups like the Temptations, the Contours, the Miracles and the Four Tops captured audiences worldwide and set the precedent forthe "Motown Sound". Presently, the love for the famous "Motown Sound" has been resurrected, demanding the same energy that was shown in those days. Thus…Serieux was formed three years ago by Larry Griffin and has answered the call with not only the harmony but the same energy that everyone loved and still craves today.
