Harrington Raceway And Casino Opens Expansion

Harrington Raceway and Casino opened their doors Wednesday for a fresh start. They are taking a step towards a brighter future for the state of Delaware.
Casino Customer Mary Sterling says, " I love it! I love playing the black jack machine, it's a lot of fun."
It's the one place everyone hopes one pull on the slot machines will have them set for life. The Harrington Raceway and Casino has expanded it's floors , and is ready for business. Officials say they are hoping this new expansion will really benefit the community, financially and socially.
Chief Operating Office Patty Key says, " I think restaurant wise, with taxes, which is revenue for the state and in general, with the win going up, if everything works out it will benefit everyone."
The Casino has three new restaurants, a fine dining steak house, a new café and a grab and go station.
The casino is still in the process of expanding, but hopes to be fully finished by December. Officials say they are hoping it will benefit the community. The expansion opened up 100 new jobs. |
