A 140-room upscale Hilton hotel will be constructed at Pearl River Resort, Tribal officials announced last week during the "Taste of Choctaw" gathering on the reservation.
The Hilton Garden Inn at Dancing Rabbit will be the first of several new projects on the reservation.
The Pearl River Resort and the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians teamed with Chicago based Native American Land Development Company to bring the first-class hotel to east central Mississippi.
"We are very excited about the many new things that are going on here in Choctaw," said Tribal Chief Phillip Martin. "For the past few decades, the Tribe has led the region in economic development by pushing forward with new developments and partnering with time-tested industry leaders."
Details about the Hilton will be announced in a forthcoming groundbreaking ceremony scheduled for later in the year.
Dancing Rabbit Golf Club offers two engaging courses, The Azaleas and The Oaks, designed by Tom Fazio and Jerry Pate.
