I always love to play home games whenever I can. I can basically make my own rules and not worry about being cheated by a couple of people that I never seen before. Playing with friends, having a great time is the way to go. Whether you are the winner or the loser of the table, you are still just there to have a great time.

I couldn't agree more. There have been a few home games that I played in that were not that great, but generally I have a great time. Sometimes I leave with more money than I had when I got there. That's always way cool. Sometimes I leave with what I came in with, but more often than not I leave a little lighter in the pockets. Whatever...it's fun all the same.

Too much drinking mixed with a sore loser can be a real drag at a home game though. It's important to keep a handle on the riff raff that can find its way there from time to time. This of course isn't much of a problem for the occasional home game, but a regular game can start to attract them. It's only a matter of time usually, unless the games players are tightly regulated to begin with.

It's usually much more relaxing in general though.

Im not much of a card player, but the social aspect is great. and it is a more relaxing atmosphere than a casino would be.

I have had some good games at the home before, and then again I have had some bad ones. Still, though, I prefer the home game over the casino.

Home games are a good time. I am way more relaxed hanging out with friends playing cards at the house than in a casino any day.

That being said, I don't exactly mind playing in a casino. Given a choice though...it would be home games for me.

Home games are more than just the games...they are socializing and having a great time with friends and family. Yeah, I've been to home games where there has the been the occasional drunken altercation, but all in all I always have a good time at home games.

Life just wouldn't be exciting without the occasional drunken altercation, would it?

Thankfully we don't have to be involved in all of them

I remember one time I went to someone's house to play poker, and the host started to get real intoxicated. I kept winning, and he finally said that I was winning because I was stupid. Well, since that didn't make any sense, I just let that go without saying anything. I don't fight with drunk people anyway.

I am a fan of the home games too. My great-grandmother taught my siblings and I how to play poker when we were kids. My husband and his friends used to play poker monthly, and they would rotate who hosted the game.

Whoa! Home games are quite possibly the best thing that have ever happened to me. I think that the only way I win so much is because of the home luck. I win a lot less when I go to a casino. Not because I cheat, but I feel more at home, I guess.

My brother taught me how to play poker and blackjack. He really only taught me enough so he could take my money. LOL!
