Hallandale Beach remains the only place in Florida with Las Vegas-style slot machines. Gulfstream Park's casino opened with 516 slots; Mardi Gras, at the renovated Hollywood Greyhound Track, has 1,147. Pompano Park Harness Track is hoping to open its casino within the next few months, and Dania Jai-Alai is set to open its slots room in 2008.
