Casino news from http://www.fox28.com/ The Indiana Gaming Commission says a casino and hotel renovation project in French Lick is expected to be completed on schedule by October 31st. Partners in the Orange County project have been in a legal battle over spending and ownership interests, but a judge recently ordered them to settle the dispute through arbitration. Meanwhile, the casino's general manager told the Gaming Commission Thursday that the project is on schedule. Chris Leininger said the casino would be open for inspection by the Gaming Commission by the end of October, and could be open to the public by November 3rd. He also said renovations to the historical French Lick Springs Resort hotel next to the casino also will be completed by October 31st. The $382 million project also includes a golf course that already has opened, and a parking garage and event center are on schedule to be completed by November.
