Macau's chief executive Edmund Ho Hau-wah said that he planned to raise the minimum gambling age in the region from 18 to 21. Poon Yan-chi, the director of Hong Kong's industrial rehabilitation centre for problem gamblers, said Ho's plan was a good thing while casino tycoon Stanley Ho's wife said the proposed policy would improve Macau's image in the international community.
Society for Truth and Light general secretary Choi Chi-sum also welcomed the move. |
