MILLION $ MADNESS IS BACK! Tickets on sale Tuesday, October 30
Friday, October 26, 2007

NASHVILLE - It’s back! The Tennessee Lottery’s popular Million $ Madness game returns on October 30, with over 580 prizes to be awarded, including four of $1 million each.

“The first Million $ Madness game was such a hit, we’ve decided to play it again with even more prizes and more chances to win,” said Rebecca Hargrove, Tennessee Lottery President and CEO. “With such great odds to win $1 million, the game will surely be another success for education.”

Million $ Madness is a raffle-style game with only 800,000 tickets available. The Grand Prize drawing will be held Jan. 22, 2008, when four winners of $1 million each will be selected. In addition, 10 prizes of $10,000 each and 500 prizes of $100 each will be awarded.

Not only will tickets be eligible for the Grand Prize Drawing, but each ticket will also be entered into a series of Early Bird Drawings. Each of these drawings, which will be held weekly beginning Nov. 9, will award 10 prizes: one winner of $1,000 and nine winners of $100 each. Once a ticket number is selected as a winner for an Early Bird Drawing, it is not eligible for additional Early Bird Drawings but remains entered into the Grand Prize Drawing.

“We’re encouraging people to get their tickets early. Not only does this give you better odds to win more than once, but it also means you won’t miss out if we sell-out once again,” said Ms. Hargrove.

For more information on how to play, as well as a complete list of drawing dates, visit the Tennessee Lottery’s website at www.tnlottery.com.

The Tennessee Lottery began selling its first tickets on January 20, 2004. As of September 30, 2007, the Lottery has raised more than $987 million to fund specific education programs, including college scholarships, pre-kindergarten and after-school programs.
