Connecticut's massive Mohegan Sun Hotel Casino celebrated its 10th birthday with a star-studded, newsmaking, rip-roaring party the weekend of October 19-22. There were concerts, comedy shows and even a pre-season basketball game between the Celtics and Knicks. A few lucky VIPs got to see Jerry Seinfeld in a private performance at the Uncas Ballroom. Other comedic headliners included Lily Tomlin and Craig Ferguson of late-night television fame. The Barenaked Ladies gave a free show in the Sun's Wolf Den, and Godsmack (fronted by none other than WPT familiar face Sully Erna) kicked off festivities with an arena show on Thursday, October 19. But probably the biggest newsmaker was Kevin Costner, who fronted a six-piece band and provided headliner star power when Keith Urban, who was scheduled to be the main event, cancelled at the last minute.

The Mohegan Sun is owned and operated by the Mohegan Tribe of Connecticut. It's a self-contained casino/resort property with three entertainment venues, 30 restaurants, an entire shopping area and a 300,000 square foot casino.
