"Ain't Nothin' Like the Real Thing" Celebrating 50 Years of Motown. Now through September 14 Wednesday - Monday at 7 p.m. & 10 p.m. Dark on Tuesday Ain’t Nothin’ Like The Real Thing is a musical journey through the best of the best of Motown. The production features a cast of five men and three women as well as a seven-piece band and 4 dancers. All of the music is performed LIVE on-stage as additional tracks are employed to play along with the band to provide that extra "sweetness" of strings and a screaming brass section. The performers work as soloists, duets, trios, quartets, quintets and as an ensemble to bring the music to life. Ain’t Nothin’ Like The Real Thing is NOT a group of impersonators. There is no attempt to hijack the superficial look of the Motown greats. This is a celebration, a tribute and review featuring fabulously talented singers and entertainers whose only goal is to thrill the audience every performance with outstanding performances of some of the greatest music of our time.
