Music, comedy, authentic cuisine, traditional dragon dance and exciting gaming to be featured
LAKE CHARLES, La. — L’Auberge du Lac Hotel & Casino, a $370 million Texas Hill Country-themed resort in Lake Charles, La., is hosting a special Asian concert and buffet in celebration of the Chinese New Year.
Minh Tuyet, Quang Le, Luong Tung Quang, Roni Trong, Nhu Y and Thanh Tuyen will entertain guests with their authentic song and dance production Sunday, March 11 at 7:00 p.m.; doors open at 6:00 p.m. Guests will also be treated to the comedy of Hoai Linh and Chi Tai and the sounds of The Ocean Band. Nguyen Ngoc Ngan will act as M.C. for the evening. Guests will also be treated to performances by a traditional lion dance team.
Entry to the show is complimentary, but guests must sign up for a free L’Club card. Two tickets per person please; first come, first serve. Tickets will be distributed the day of the show at the L’Club location nearest the Event Center beginning at noon.
Guests must present a valid photo ID and must be 21 years of age. All dates and acts are subject to change without notice.
From 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 11, L’Auberge will offer an Asian Buffet in the Sycamore Room. The buffet is priced at $21.99 per person plus tax and gratuities and includes coffee, tea or soda.
The Asian Buffet will feature three separate stations: cold items, hot items and desserts. The menu was developed by Kim Son Restaurants, perennially voted “Best Vietnamese Restaurant” in Houston by the Houston Press.
Cold dishes include Salmon Sashimi, Ebi Shrimp Sashimi, Lotus Root Salad and California Rolls. The hot station will feature Imperial Rolls, Roasted Duck, Sharkfin Soup and Steamed Fish with Ginger and Scallions.
Conclude your tasty feast at the dessert station which will feature a variety of fresh fruit and Black Eyed Pea Dessert.
To compliment the grand celebration, Asiasm, a noodle bar featuring Vietnamese and Asian-fusion cuisine with a Louisiana twist, will offer its unique cuisine to guests. The intimate venue with bold contemporary décor is operated by the La family, owners of the nationally acclaimed Kim Son Restaurants in Houston.
Asia™ normally seats 36 and is open from noon until 2:00 a.m. on Sundays; reservations are not accepted. It’s a great place for a quick snack or fast bowl of traditional Vietnamese soup. The restaurant also offers a take-away menu.
