RALEIGH, N.C. North Carolina lottery officials have pulled a popular scratch-and-win game after some players confused a security code with a winning symbol.
Lottery spokeswoman Alice Garland says some players thought they had won but hadn't.
The game is called "Two Times the Money" and allowed doubling of winnings up to 100 dollars if the card displayed a bold 2-X symbol. The cards also contained a thin X security feature that led to confusion.
Lottery Executive director Tom Shaheen will introduce two additional games next week. |
