Orange County's riverboat casino got its first customers Tuesday morning when two southern Indiana sisters tried their luck at a slot machine.
Connie Cox and Jackie Kendall took turns pulling the handles of the two-cent Triple Stars slot machine during an invitation-only sneak preview at the French Lick Springs Resort Casino.
After two pulls and no winnings, Cox said she had no luck. But on the third pull, triple sevens came up and she won about a dollar.
Cox and Kendall are the daughters of the late Jack Carnes, a preservationist who spent years lobbying to bring the riverboat to Orange County.
The Indiana Gaming Commission is supervising Tuesday's event and conducted an audit after he doors closed at midnight. If all goes as planned, the casino opens to the public on Friday.
