New casino in Kathmandu eyes Indian tourists
Kathmandu, Aug 04: The Nepal Recreation Centre (NRC) has launched a new casino targeting mainly high spending Indian visitors.
"Casino Shangri-La will give the best service and offer world class facilities,\" said Indian National and Executive Director Shalini Wadhwa, at its launch yesterday.
Wadhwa holds a major stake in the gaming facility.
The main casino gaming area is spread over 5,000 sq ft covering three floors and offers world class amenities with 400 plus staff.
Open round the clock, it has a separate vvip section with foot massage facilities for high class customers and special gaming room for serious players.
"We give attention to every details and offer quality product and services focusing exclusively on promoting tourism,\" said Mila Rai, Marketing Director at the Casino.
Royale Roulette, Baccarat, Flush, 21 Card Paplu and Black Jack are some of the gaming attractions at the casino situated on the outskirts of the city.
With this the number of casinos in Kathmandu has reached seven within a radius of 28 km. All the casinos housed at five star hotels of Kathmandu are managed by NRC and are centre of attraction for tourists, especially Indians. |
