Hello people that know what is going on!
Yep it's piggypot again. Man, working full time days and part time nights has kept me away from the news! Starting a fulltime evening job now, so maybe I can keep up with current events!! I hadn't even heard about the problem with online gambling!! Was just reading about it in these forums. Does this mean I can't play online now that I've decided to maybe try it?? Newbie and really cornfuzed now!

As far as I understand the bill, you can still play online, but you can't deposit money using a credit card. Not sure about if you can use your credit card to deposit money in Neteller then transfer it to a poker site or not. I know people have been saying the banks have 270 days to do whatever they need to in order to enforce this law.

So basically, online gambling is not illegal, they just made it very hard for you to deposit money in order to gamble.

Hi libblesp!
Thank you for clearing that up for me. We really needed another stupid law regulating what we wish to do with our personal lives! I'll be so happy when I have somebody telling me when to breathe in and when to breathe out! I'm so tired of making those decisions for myself!
Sorry, just venting.
Thanks much!

Problem with accuracy in our casino directory? let us know, please: accuracy@worldcasinodirectory.com

Piggy Pot -- make sure you check out your local laws. I don't know where you reside but there are definitely states in America where it is illegal to gamble online. I believe there are eleven states which have laws expressedly forbidding it.

Cheers and good luck.

Last I heard, people in the U.S. could still use neteller. But they said they'll go along with whatever the laws are in the U.S. so they may stop letting us play anytime now. At least that was my understanding of it.
