OKEY DOKEY FANTASY EXPECTED BE SUPPLEMENTED TO RAINBOW TRIALS
July 1, 2006 – The connections of Grade 1-winner Okey Dokey Fantasy plan to pay the $25,000 supplement fee and enter the Okey Dokey Dale colt in Friday’s Rainbow Futurity (G1) trials at Ruidoso Downs.
Racing for Ariel Campos of Mesquite, Texas, Okey Dokey Fantasy most recently finished in a dead heat for the victory with Saint Shackleton in the June 11, $500,000 Ruidoso Futurity (G1). Saint Shackleton is also expected to contest the Rainbow trials.
“We’ve just been doing some light training with him,” said trainer John Boegner of Okey Dokey Fantasy. “He really doesn’t need anything.
“He had a little cold in the Ruidoso Futurity,” he added. “He just had a slight temperature after the race. He’s fine now.”
Okey Dokey Fantasy is undefeated in six starts, and his win streak includes the Manor Downs (G1) and Longhorn (G2) futurities in Texas. The colt’s bankroll totals $435,968.
Entries for the Rainbow Futurity trials will be taken on Sunday, July 2.
