Online Poker: Lileor99 Wins Stud Event at FTOPS
Max Pescatori Makes the Final Table
Last night’s event in the Full Tilt Online Poker Series (FTOPS) V both beat out its guarantee and had a big poker star at the final table.
The event, a $200 buy-in seven-card stud tournament with a $100,000 guarantee, lured 597 entrants to generate a prize pool of $119,400. Prominent Internet pro Cliff “JohnnyBax” Josephy almost made the final table of the event, but he came up short when he was eliminated in 12th place ($1,313).
JohnnyBax may not have made lasted until the final eight players, but there was still a poker heavyweight in the running when the final table was formed with Full Tilt-sponsored pro Max Pescatori. Pescatori eventually busted out of the tournament in fourth place ($). The heads-up match was between lileor99 and bluff27allin. Lileor99 raked in the final pot to become the seven-card stud champion of the FTOPS V, earning $29,850 and an exclusive gold FTOPS jersey avatar for his accomplishment.
