PartyGaming Founders Fall Off Billionaire List
Wynn, Adelson Stay on It with Nearly $30 Billion Between Them

What a difference a few months makes.

In September, PartyGaming founders Ruth Parasol and her husband, J. Russell DeLeon, landed smack in the middle of Forbes Magazine’s list of the 400 richest Americans with $1.8 billion each thanks to the success of PartyPoker.

Today, Forbes released a list of the world’s billionaires, and neither of the founders made the cut.

PartyPoker, which is owned by PartyGaming, ended its business relationship with all Americans a few weeks after the list came out when Congress passed the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act. Americans accounted for about 80 percent of PartyPoker’s business.

Anurag Dikshit, who was the main guy behind designing the software that ran PartyPoker (among other sites) and helped found the company, sits at number 618 on the list. He sold much of his PartyGaming stock before the UIGE Act caused a crash in the online gaming industry, and according to Forbes, is worth $1.6 billion.

Some of the other notable names on the billionaire list are casino developers Steve Wynn ($3.4 billion), Sheldon Adelson (26.5 billion) and William Boyd ($1.5 billion).
