Pearl River Resort hosts Three Card Poker regional tournaments

CHOCTAW, Miss. (Sept. 22, 2006) Pearl River Resort will be a host site for qualifying rounds into the 2006 National Three Card Poker Championship in November to be held in Las Vegas.

The resort will host two qualifying rounds at Silver Star Hotel & Casino Oct. 6-8 and Nov. 3-5. Each qualified winner will receive $1,000 cash, travel expenses, hotel accommodations and a seat into the national championship where first place wins $1,000,000.

Registration begins each Friday of the tournament at 4 p.m. with a $249 buy in. There will also be a Second Chance tournament at the end of the first day of play for round one participants. Guests may sign up for the Second Chance offer after they play in the first round.

"We are very excited to be a qualifying stop for the National Three Card Poker Championship." said executive director of table games, Sheila Martin. "This is a great opportunity for us to show our appreciation to our table games guests by offering an exciting and potentially high stakes tournament."

"We will also hold a wild card drawing for entry into the National Championships. So we encourage all interested players to register, the more we have in the tournament, the more people we can send to Las Vegas in November."
