(PENN.O: Quote, Profile, Research) on Thursday posted higher third-quarter net profit, helped by an increase in revenue and a gain from the sale of discontinued operations. Net income rose to $155.1 million, or $1.79 per share, from $55.4 million, or 64 cents a share, a year earlier.
