Many state authorities have been in the news lately with the integrity of the gambling being held in their states as a focal point.

Pennsylvania seems to be learning from the mistakes of other states as it has opened a state of the art testing facility where authorities can ensure that the slot machines that are being used within the state are indeed up to its standards.

The facility is a 5,100 square foot area and currently holds 75 of the states slots and also other equipment that is related to the everyday gambling operation of the state casinos.

Mary DiGiacomo Colins the Gaming Control Board Chairman said that the lab will go a far way in making sure that the integrity of each and every slot machine is kept.

"I cannot site a more key element within the law toward upholding the Legislative intent of assuring the public of the integrity and reliability of the slot machines than this new facility."

One of the key functions of the new lab will be as new slot machines are developed, the lab will be able to quickly test the machines to make sure they are in compliance to all of the rules and regulations, which will in turn, put them out to the public much quicker than before.
