Six out-of-county people were arrested at Black Oak Casino Wednesday after allegedly attempting to pass counterfeit $100 bills.
Along with possession of counterfeit money, members of the group were booked on suspicion of conspiracy, resisting arrest and possessing stolen property, drugs, drug paraphernalia and a stolen vehicle.
Casino security officials suspect they were the same group that had successfully passed $1,500 worth of counterfeit bills last week.
Black Oak Casino Tribal Security called the Tuolumne County Sheriff's Department after its surveillance system revealed that the money the suspects were using at gaming tables wasn't real, casino general manager Ron Patel said.
Sheriff's deputies approached each of the suspects and found them with counterfeit money. Searches showed that some of the suspects had small bags of a substance suspected to be methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, a hypodermic needle and fake identification.
The deputies also discovered that the vehicle the suspects were driving was stolen from Morgan Hill.
Passing counterfeit bills is a crime the casino discovers occasionally, Patel said.
"Obviously a casino tends to attract candidates from time to time," he said. "This was unique in managing to catch everyone involved."
The six arrested and the charges include:
• Randall James Denos, 34, of Stockton, booked on suspicion of felony bringing alcohol or drugs into prison, drug possession, burglary, criminal conspiracy and making or passing a fictitious check;
• Miguel Simental Jr., 27, of Stockton, booked on suspicion of felony burglary, conspiracy to commit a crime, making or passing a fictitious check and misdemeanor resisting arrest;
• Moses Jorge Garcia, 26, of Stockton, booked on suspicion of felony drug possession, making or passing a fictitious check, burglary, criminal conspiracy, and misdemeanor resisting a arrest;

• Rachel Stephanie Gallardo, 27,of Morgan Hill, booked on suspicion of vehicle theft, receiving stolen property, drug possession, drug transporting or selling and possessing drugs for sale, all felonies. She was also charged with misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and a hypodermic needle;
• Michael Lynn Grissom, 25, of Modesto, booked on suspicion of felony parole violation, receiving stolen property, vehicle theft and criminal conspiracy.
All six were arrested about 2:30 a.m., but Grissom and Orozco were later released for insufficient evidence.
Denos, Garcia, and Simental have been released after each posting $15,000 bond. Gallardo remains in jail on $20,000.
An investigation into the case continues, sheriff's officials said.
