Pinnacle wins approval to build Louisiana casino
PHILADELPHIA, Nov 8 (Reuters) - Pinnacle Entertainment Inc. (PNK.N: Quote, Profile, Research) on Wednesday said it won approval to build a $350 million casino in Lake Charles, Louisiana.
Preliminary results from the Nov. 7 election show voters in Lake Charles, by a margin of nearly two to one, approved a referendum permitting the project, the company said.
The Sugarcane Bay casino will begin construction in 2007, with opening scheduled for 2009. |
