Yet if the number 21 is not reached by any member playing the game, then the person with the closest number to 21 after all the points have been totaled will win the game and the jackpot associated with it. For players wishing to speed up the pace of the game, they can use two dice instead of a single die. After the player has totaled 14 or more, one of the dice will be thrown out, and play will continue again with a single die.

There are also longer versions of the game where the object is to reach 36. Players should also note that anyone who busts or is eliminated early from the game will generally throw in an additional unit or amount of money to the pot for other players to win. While the object of the game is obviously very similar to the card version of blackjack, 21 can still provide some variety and excitement to those looking for a simple game to enjoy.
