LAS VEGAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 17, 2006--Poker Pro Europe magazine has signed on for 3,000 TV ad spots on Pokerzone TV to coincide with the launch of the publication in late August 2006. The 30-second spots will run into 2007.
"The ads will put us on the map right away," said publisher Dan Jacobs. "We're going to hit the ground running with a big initial press run and a TV ad blitz."
Poker Pro Europe will have one of the largest initial circulations of any poker-related publication in Europe, and the TV commercials will generate a lot of sizzle for the magazine. The ads will air on Pokerzone's channel on the Sky Network, and also on its dedicated broadband TV channel, Pokerzone On Demand, which is live and direct to home computers.
The all-poker interactive broadband channel broadcasts live games, documentaries, news and entertainment shows, including Heads Up With Richard Herring, Monte Carlo Millions, Poker Bowl and many more. All of these great shows can be yours at the touch of a button with no extended waiting times and no downloads, just click and view. "This is a really dynamic move forward by Pokerzone," says Jim Sibcy, Managing Director of Pokerzone TV.
"This deal with Pokerzone TV will generate a very strong response for both Poker Pro Europe and our poker/gaming print advertisers in the magazine," stated Will Jordan, Managing Director for Poker Pro Europe.
Added editor John "Johnny Quads" Wenzel: "We're working around the clock to give European poker fans the kind of slick, glossy, comprehensive poker publication they have been waiting for... We're excited about how the launch is shaping up, and the TV ads will tell poker pros and amateurs alike all about it."
