Police arrest suspects in S.D. casino robbery

CHADRON, Neb. (AP) - Police say a tip from a resident led them to five men suspected of robbing a South Dakota casino.
The men were arrested Thursday after a 14-hour manhunt.
It all started when officials say the men went to the State Line Casino, which sits along U.S. Highway 385 near the border between Nebraska and South Dakota
They asked if there were strippers at the casino, and when they found out there weren't, pulled a gun and stole an undisclosed amount of money.
About 10:30 yesterday evening, Chadron State student Katie Hill of Morrill says four men approached her on campus and offered $100 for a ride to a gas station.
She says 1 of the men pulled out a large stack of money, but she told them she didn't have a car and they left. |
