Public invited to contribute to memory lane at French Lick Resort Casino
Memorabilia contest will help complete ‘walking museum’ at French Lick Springs Hotel
FRENCH LICK, Ind. – French Lick Resort Casino is compiling a cache of historic memorabilia that will adorn the historic French Lick Springs Hotel. The “Your Place in History” contest will help resort management gather personal accounts of experiences at the two grand hotels, as well as memorabilia to display in the resort’s “walking museum.” The person submitting the most noteworthy entry could win an Ultimate French Lick Weekend package.
Throughout its 160-year history, celebrities, politicians, the rich and famous, and even the infamous have visited the French Lick Springs Hotel and the West Baden Springs Hotel. Now is the chance for these memories to be chronicled in the resort’s history book. Stories, photographs, film and other memorabilia are being solicited through the contest.
“This resort community is rich with history, and we want to further preserve that,” said Mark Bommarito, vice president of sales and marketing for the resort. “We’ve already begun to collect a beautiful variety of memorabilia, but we know there is much more out there. This is a unique chance for the community to be a part of something fun and historic.”
A committee of judges will select the most noteworthy entry and award the Ultimate French Lick Weekend package, consisting of:
• Weekend stay for two in one of French Lick Springs Hotel’s Signature Suites
• Two rounds of golf at the Donald Ross Golf Course
• Spa services for two
• Breakfast for two each morning
• Dinner for two in 1875; The Steakhouse (alcohol, tax and gratuity extra)
• Lunch for two at Hagen’s (alcohol, tax and gratuity extra)
