Racing WELCOME HARNESS RACING FANS! The sport of harness racing has roared back into the Delaware Valley in a big way at America’s newest track - Harrah's Chester Casino & Racetrack in Chester, Pennsylvania. The region once laid claim to being home of two of the top harness racing palaces – Liberty Bell Park & Brandywine Raceway - and provided the fans with the very best the sport had to offer on a weekly basis. Those days have returned. Our 2007 racing season got underway on Monday, July 9. Live racing will be conducted on Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays through Thursday, December 20. Post time will be 12:45 P.M. Full-card simulcasting of both Standardbred and Thoroughbred signals are offered year-round on a daily basis. Accenting the 2007 racing schedule will be the return of some prestigious stakes that local fans enjoyed in years past as well as the addition of new ones that include the $300,000 Ben Franklin Free-For-All Pace, the $200,000 Battle of the Brandywine 3 Yr. Old Open Pace, the $200,000 Colonial 3 Yr. Old Open Trot, the $100,000 Betsy Ross Mares Free-For-All Pace and the $100,000 Marquis De Lafayette Free-For-All Trot.
