Retired Racine firefighter hits jackpot at Oneida casino
A retired firefighter from Racine won $217,036 Friday on the Wheel of Fortune slot machine at the Oneida Mason Street Casino.
Eugene Sessa, who was celebrating his 48th wedding anniversary with family members, said he "reluctantly" agreed to his daughter's suggestion that they visit the Mason Street casino, according to a press release.
He spent $20 on the quarter slot machine before hitting the progressive megajackpot, which is fed by players at more than 300 tribal casinos in 16 states.
It was Sessa's first visit to the Mason Street casino. The Mason Street casino has paid 10 megajackpots since 2001, but Sessa's win was the first this year.
