Sad news to report from Black Hawk...

The Richman Casino, a long-time fixture in Black Hawk (one of the original joints, I believe) has been sold and will close forever on November 30, 2006.

So - you suppose a local investor bought it? Maybe the Historical Society? Maybe the City of Black Hawk bought it and will make it a day care center?

Ha! The BIG BOYS bought it. Ameristar.

Ameristar will turn it into an OFFICE BUILDING.

Sad. The little guys just can't compete anymore.

Wow that is a lot of money talking. They can buy a casino and turn it into an office building? Not even a nice restaurant on the first floor. :(

Oh well, I don't think it was an original, but correct me if I'm wrong Steve.... is that really a historic building? ... not positive myself.
