Seneca-Cayuga tribe plans lakefront casino in Grove
GROVE, Okla. The Seneca-Cayuga tribe in Miami (MY-AM'-uh) is planning a 100-thousand-square-foot casino at Grand Lake.
The tribe says the casino will be build on 30 acres west of U-S Highway 59 and will include a five-story hotel with 125 rooms, a convention center and three restaurants.
But not all tribal members are pleased. They say they weren't properly notified about the casino and that the land wasn't properly placed in trust.
Seneca-Cayuga Chief Paul Spicer says those concerns are not legitimate.
Construction is to begin this summer with the casino scheduled to open next summer. |
