POST FALLS -- Authorities say seven gambling machines have been seized from the Eagles club in Post Falls, Idaho.

Post Falls police also say thousands of dollars were seized in the raid Sunday morning, which followed on a tip from a confidential informant.

Police Lieutenant Greg McLean said the Eagles club's board of directors could face misdemeanor charges.

The machines contained $2,000-$3,000, and McLean said officers also found envelopes of money for people who were supposed to pick up their winnings Sunday afternoon.

McLean saidwinners got a nickel per point on the machines and the club made payouts twice a week, on Tuesdays and Sundays.

He added that members of the board of directors did not seem surprised by the raid.

Club president Chuck Estell and other Eagles officials couldn't be reached for comment by The Spokesman-Review of Spokane.
