Tyler Christopher
Tyler Christopher returned to the role of the noble and complex Nikolas Cassadine in April of 2003, a role he originated in the summer of 1996. Although named one of TV Guide's Hottest Daytime Stars in 1998, it is Tyler's unique sensibility and maturity that makes his portrayal of the strong yet sensitive Nikolas Cassadine so successful. He was nominated for an Emmy in 1999, 2005 and again in 2006 for his portrayal.
Most recently, in 2005, Tyler appeared in the Steven Spielberg-produced mini-series Into the West, where he starred as Jacob Wheeler, Jr. He left General Hospital in 1999 to pursue other projects. He quickly landed a recurring role on the popular primetime series Charmed and then a contract role on The Pretender. Guest starring roles include Crossing Jordan, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Jag, Family Law, Boomtown, The Twilight Zone, Felicity and Angel, among others. He also starred and co-starred in a few independent feature films, including Cat Fish in Black Bean Sauce, Out of the Black and Face the Music.
Jason Thompson
Jason Thompson joined the cast of General Hospital in November 2005 as Dr. Patrick Drake, Noah's arrogant yet brilliant neurosurgeon son.
This 28-year-old St. Albert, Canada native left home at the young age of 18, to find fame and fortune in the modeling industry. Soon thereafter, a respectable career in modeling and commercials - including for The Gap - allowed Jason to pay the bills and afford to travel internationally. Thompson admits that becoming an actor was never far from his thoughts.
In just a few short years, Thompson built an impressive resume of theater, film and television credits. His theater credits include lead roles in the plays The Academy, More Than You and Jakob. Thompson also starred in the films Wishmaster 4: The Prophecy and Divide.
Christian LeBlanc
Christian Jules LeBlanc, who stars as attorney Michael Baldwin on The Young and the Restless, rejoined the cast of the CBS daytime drama in April 1997. He previously played the role from 1991 to 1993. LeBlanc was nominated for Daytime Emmys in the category of "Outstanding Supporting Actor" in 1999, 2000, 2003 and 2004. He won an Emmy in the category of Outstanding Lead Actor in 2005.
Born in Fayetteville, North Carolina, LeBlanc grew up in New Orleans as the second oldest of eight children whose father, retired Major Andre Victor LeBlanc, is a decorated veteran. LeBlanc graduated with honors from Tulane University, where he majored in Roman history and pre-med, but opted to pursue an acting career after he was offered a role in the PBS television series Edit Point. He has appeared on the television programs Cheers, Gabriel's Fire and Perry Mason. In addition, he was a regular on the series In the Heat of the Night and played Kirk McColl on As The World Turns, both on the Network. |
