SOBOBA RESERVATION - It was a $1.5 million casino heist that authorities said was a first for Riverside County.

Rolando Luda Ramos, a security technician at Soboba Casino for two years, pulled out a gun and hog-tied three of his co-workers.

He took the cash from a vault, stuffed it into a duffel bag and walked out of the casino to a getaway car. But local and federal law enforcement tracked his mobile phone and caught him within days at a hotel near Los Angeles International Airport.

Ramos had spent some of the money on cocaine and prostitutes, but authorities recovered most of the cash. Two of Ramos' accomplices have already been sentenced in the crime.

Ramos is scheduled to face trial in January.
