The World Famous Lipizzaner Stallions will appear at Apache Gold Casino Resort on Tuesday, Aug. 29, as a part of their 36th anniversary world tour.
The show starts at 7:30 p.m. in the Pavilion at the resort, which is located on U.S. 70 about five miles east of Globe.
The colorful program includes many of the traditional movements and exercises presented at the world-renowned Spanish Riding School of Vienna. While maintaining a classical presentation of the Lipizzaner, also featured is the forefather of the Lipizzaner -- the Spanish Andalusian — in a themed routine set to Spanish music.
Other exciting departures from tradition include a rousing number set to the big-band music of the swing era. Many of the horses and riders who appear in this 36th-anniversary edition were hand-picked to perform in this family-oriented arena attraction.
Over the years, more than 25 million people throughout North and South America, the United Kingdom, Europe, Australia and Hawaii have seen this internationally acclaimed spectacle.
Tickets are on sale at the Apache Gold Casino Resort Gift Shop or by phone. Prices for adults are $22.50, and children under 12 and seniors 60+ are $20.50. Group tickets are also available.
More information about the special appearance and other upcoming events — including a special series of four Thursday night concerts in September — at the Apache Gold Casino Resort can be obtained on the internet at www.apachegoldcasinoresort.com/ or by calling 1-800-APACHE8.
