Known for powerhouse vocals, lead singer Jennifer Nettles and band mate Kristian Bush form Sugarland. Since their 2005 Reno Events Center appearance opening for Brad Paisley, Sugarland has racked up the accolades. Their debut multi-platinum selling album, Twice The Speed Of Life, resulted in mega hits “Baby Girl” and “Something More.” Their current album, perfectly titled Enjoy the Ride, has already sold over a million albums and gave life to two No. 1 hits --“Want To” and “Settlin’.” Opening tours for the likes of Kenny Chesney, Brooks & Dunn and Paisley helped the duo gain notoriety on the country music scene, while Nettles’ collaboration with Bon Jovi, resulting in the No. 1 hit “Who Says You Can’t Go Home,” allowed Sugarland to cross over into pop territory.
Sugarland has received a Grammy nomination, an American Music Award for “Breakthrough Favorite New Artist,” an Academy of Country Music award for “New Duo/Group of the Year,” two CMT Awards and three award nominations from the Country Music Association. Nettles also picked up a Grammy in 2007 for her collaboration with Bon Jovi.
Four-member Little Big Town comes to the Biggest Little City hot off the heels of receiving the Academy of Country Music’s Top New Vocal Group in May. The band is one of the biggest success stories of the year. Their platinum-plus debut for the Equity Music Group, The Road To Here, led to two Grammy nominations and was ranked the No. 1 top-selling “Independent Album of 2006” by Billboard magazine, which also ranked the band as the No. 1 “Independent Artist of 2006.” Little Big Town has toured with some of the biggest names in music, including Keith Urban, Kenny Chesney, Martina McBride and John Mellencamp, who asked the band to perform on his new CD released earlier this year. Little Big Town is slated to release its second CD for Equity in November 2007.
RCA recording artist Jake Owen burst onto the country music scene last year with his debut album Startin’ With Me. In less than a year, Owen has celebrated a Top 15 hit with his debut single "Yee Haw" and a Top 10 with his current single "Startin' With Me." He also made his national TV debut on ABC's “Good Morning America” and has toured with Kenny Chesney, Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood. Currently, Owen is the opening act for the 2007 Alan Jackson/Brooks & Dunn Tour.
