Teen Idol/Songwriter Paul Anka to Perform at L’Auberge March 30; Comedian Ron White On Stage March 17 – Tickets On Sale Now

LAKE CHARLES, La. — L’Auberge du Lac Hotel & Casino, a $370 million Texas Hill Country-themed resort in Lake Charles, La., will play host to singer songwriter Paul Anka on March 30. The teen idol is scheduled to perform one night only in the L’Auberge Event Center. March also features the hilarious adult comedy of Ron White; tickets are on sale now for two March 17 performances.
Paul Anka was one of the biggest teen idols of the ‘50s and matured into a successful performer, songwriter, music businessman and recording artist. While still a teen, Anka placed four songs in the Top 20, including You Are My Destiny and Crazy Love; he became a millionaire while still in his teens. In a career marked by longevity, he stormed the charts again in 1974 with the No. One hit (You’re) Having My Baby and several other Top 10 hits.
Anka’s songwriting successes include penning the theme to The Tonight Show, writing one of Buddy Holly’s last hits, It Doesn’t Matter Anymore, and writing the lyrics to Tom Jones’ biggest hit, She’s A Lady. He lent both his songwriting talents and his voice to many other hits including Lonely Boy, Put Your Head On My Shoulder, It’s Time To Cry and Puppy Love (written for old flame Annette Funicello).
Paul Anka will perform in the L’Auberge Event Center on Friday, March 30 at 8:30 p.m.; doors open one hour before the show. Tickets are priced at $50 for stadium seating ($10 discount to L’Club members). Tickets go on sale Friday, February 9.
Tickets are still available for two shows by irreverent comic Ron White. White will perform in the L’Auberge Event Center on Saturday, March 17 at 7:00 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.; doors open one hour before each show. Tickets are priced at $60 for floor seating and $55 for stadium seating ($10 discount to L’Club members). Tickets are on sale now.
