The Casino de Montréal will once again be enveloped in an electrified ambiance on the eve of the Grand Prix of Canada weekend.

Marking its third edition, La Grande Nuit de la F1 Mercedes-Benz will be rolling out the red carpet for a colourful array of celebrities on Friday, June 23, 2006, just as the festive Formula 1 atmosphere begins to rev up.

The exclusive soirée will begin at around 5:30 P.M., when the grand carpet installed along the Pavillon du Québec bridge will welcome the likes of Corneille, Roch Voisine, Dominique Michel, Luc Picard, Justin Trudeau, Jean-Nicolas Verreault, Michel Barrette, Denys Arcand, Denise Robert, Alexandre Despatie, Joannie Rochette, Angie Everhart, Nathalie Glebova (2005 Miss Universe(R)), and other prestigious guests of the Casino.

Also in attendance will be Olympic medallist at the Atlanta games and official spokesperson of the event, Annie Pelletier, as well as star McLaren-Mercedes driver, Kimi Raikkonen. In conjunction with the celebrities' arrival, a cocktail will be held on the Pavillon du Québec bridge from 5:30 P.M. to 6:30 P.M.

Over 500 distinguished guests are expected to be on hand for the evening's festivities, which will also feature Frank Sinatra Jr. accompanied by 38 musicians conducted by Terry Woodson performing the Canadian premiere of his show at the Cabaret du Casino. The performance will be hosted by none other than Mitsou Gélinas, who will present the son of the legendary crooner to the guests, along with an act drawn from Cabaret U-Mano's dazzling show.

Once again this year, La Grande Nuit de la F1 Mercedes-Benz promises to
be nothing short of a spectacular kick-off to the anxiously awaited Grand Prix of Canada.
