Synopsis: The Foxwoods Resort Casino performance of The Vagina Monologues will include a reading of the Crooked Braid Monologues - stories compiled by Playwright and Founder of The Vagina Monologues, Eve Ensler, from women living in the Oglala Lakota Nation on the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota.
The monologues will be read by a number of different readers including Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Members, Tribal Employees and Foxwoods Employees.
V-Day is a global movement to stop violence against women and girls that raises and funds and awareness through benefit productions of Ensler’s award winning play The Vagina Monologues. In 2006, more than 2700 V-Day events took place in the I.S. and around the world.
