Tribal Land Development

A large scale development that could bring lots of shopping opportunites, but not a dime in tax revenue to Grand Traverse County and two townships, was the topic of discussion at a township meeting Monday night.

The Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians wants to build on land surrounding the Turtle Creek Casino. The propsal has some people concerned. The lawyer for the Grand Traverse Band declined an interview with 7&4 news after the meeting.
