Experience Hendrix 10/19/2007 at 8:00 PM Mark G. Etess Arena All Star Experience Hendrix Tour brings Jimi's Music to the concert stage in the Arena at Trump Taj Mahal on Fri., October 19, 2007. Show time is at 9:00pm with doors at 8:00pm. Ticket price is $55 & $38 plus charity fee. Tickets will go on sale Sat., September 8, 2007 at noon. A special five city tour, featuring some of the best known and most respected figures in rock and blues has been set to celebrate the legacy and music of Jimi Hendrix. Featuring artists who will be performing music written by and associated with Jimi Hendrix, including blues giant Buddy Guy, pedal steel innovator Robert Randolph and contemporary guitar great Kenny Wayne Shepherd. Special guests include Robby Krieger, guitarist of the Doors, Rolling Stones veteran guitarist Mick Taylor and Hubert Sumlin, the Mississippi-born guitarist who worked with both Howlin’ Wolf and Muddy Waters. Most remarkably, Mitch Mitchell (drums) and Billy Cox (bass), the same Jimi Hendrix Experience rhythm section that played behind Hendrix at Woodstock will be featured. Native American band Indigenous, Eric Gales, the Memphis guitarist who is heard on the Power of Soul Jimi Hendrix tribute album will be on hand for the Experience Hendrix tour. Various combinations of these artists perform such Hendrix signature songs as "Purple Haze," "Hey Joe," and "Voodoo Child (Slight Return)" and are sure to make the concerts very special events for both new and veteran Hendrix fans. From hip hop to other genres, DJ Klutch has been able to attain a great mixing style for the past 11 years. By DJing and Producing, he can cover a wide demographic when playing for a large crowd. As a club DJ, Klutch has locked down the knowledge of great hip hop and great classics. His ability to mix new music with nostalgic, classic dance and top 40’s records sets him aside from most other jocks. As a producer, he has created mixes and remixes of both new and old tracks. The mash-up phenomenon has been very good for Klutch. With 6 exclusive cuts on an EP record under a well know record label, one of the top selling mash-up artists in the nation wide mash-up on-line dj network, Klutch has accomplished quite a bit for a 26 year old club DJ from Staten Island. Now going on his 5th year as the resident for Deko Lounge, Klutch has built a major following throughout the tri-state area. Recently signed to a monthly residency at Casbah Nightclub in Atlantic City, he will be entertaining for a mixed crowd of 2000 people.
