Try Betting the Dark Side of Craps

Craps is one of the most popular casino games in casinos around the world and is also one of the most enjoyable games to play online.

In land-based casinos, the vast majority of gamblers who play Craps bet that the dice will pass. In other words, most players bet that the shooter will make his or her Point Number before rolling a Seven.

However, there is a whole other dimension to the game of Craps known as betting the Don't. A lot of people refer to this as "betting the dark side". If you place a wager on the Don't, you're betting and hoping that the dice won't pass. You're betting and hoping that the shooter will roll a Seven before he or she can roll their Point number.

Betting the Dark Side is actually a slightly better bet than betting the Pass Line. However, the reason that many players don't bet the 'Dark Side' is that it can be considered poor form by those who only bet with the Shooter. If you bet the Dark Side, you're basically betting and hoping the Shooter and all those betting with the Shooter lose, which will make you win. At a Craps table in a land-based casino, you might not win many friends by employing this strategy. You will certainly not win many friends if you bet the Dark Side and celebrate loudly when you win!

However, the beauty of online casino Craps from the comfort and privacy of your own home means you can bet in any way you want when playing Craps. There is no one to bet against, so there is no reason not to bet the Dark Side if you wish to do so. This gives you the ability to capitalize on both hot and cold streaks. There is no other casino game which gives you that luxury (well, maybe apart from Baccarat).

Betting the Don't is the exact opposite of betting the Dice will pass. You win Even Money if, on the Come Out Roll, the shooter rolls a 2 or 3 (12 is a push). You'll lose if the roll is 7 or 11. Any other number is the Point. For you to win your bet, you'll need the Shooter to roll a Seven before making his Point number.

As the vast majority of craps players cheer for the Shooter to make a point, betting the Dark Side at a land-based casino will make you a bit of a maverick at the table. However, there is no crowd of players cheering for or against you at online casinos, so you are free to bet the Dark Side if you wish.
