The University of Macau and the University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV) in Singapore are producing a Gaming Management Certificate Program with Global Gaming Expo Asia (G2E), and the one-day workshop is scheduled to take place at the Venetian Macao on June 3.

According to a G2E statement released Sunday, the expo will run from June 3 to 5 at the Venetian Macao, and for the first day, gaming industry management professionals in Asia will have “a unique opportunity to further their careers.”
“The gaming industry in Macau is booming and there is a need for educated supervisors and managers,” said Andy Nazarechuk, dean of the UNLV’s Singapore campus.

“The University of Macau and UNLV Singapore have joined forces to create a high-quality professional development program specifically geared for gaming supervisors and managers who want to upgrade their management skills to position themselves for future career advancement.”

The G2E Asia Gaming Management Certificate program will offer expert-led workshops specifically designed to address the subjects and trends that are most crucial to success in today’s competitive gaming marketplace, the same statement said, adding that “gaming professionals who participate in the program will learn how to increase customer service, develop leadership skills, enhance employee satisfaction, create casino marketing plans, understand the importance of responsible gaming programs and more.”

“This program will help casino managers enhance their global perspective of the gaming industry and understand how to provide Asian customers with the high-quality service they have come to expect,” said Ricardo Siu, gaming management co-ordinator for the University of Macau, adding that the certificate program will give gaming managers the “tools to be successful in this highly competitive market.”
