Make no mistake about it; if you play poker in Utah it had better be only for entertainment, because if you play for money you will be commiting a Class B misdemeanor. If found guilty of this heinous crime, you could be fined or lose property. Get caught playing poker for money more than once and you can be found guilty of a Class A misdemeanor, with even more dire consequences. There have been people who have tried to push the envelope on the gambling laws in Utah, but they aren't apt to change any time soon. Fortunately for those who feel that the need to gamble is too strong, they can always go to neigboring Nevada to get their gambling fix. Utah is a beautiful state to live and visit, and it has plenty to offer. Just don't go there looking for a good poker club.

Thanks for joining - I just now saw this post (we have been really busy developing the site more)

You are totally right about the above. Utah does not take gambling lightly!! It has to be the single most anti-gambling state in the entire United States.... cheers, B
