The Westin Aruba Resort, located on the white sands of Palm Beach, recently completed its second phase of renovations. Just in time for the New Year, the refurbishment enhanced the facilities and services of the hotel completing an intense $22-million renovation program.
Dallas-based design firm, Leo A Daly, headed up the makeover project completely transforming the hotel lobby into a Caribbean oasis. Upon entering, guests are treated to an exceptional Westin experience while capturing the warmth of Aruba. The modernized design includes an upgraded reception area with six individual check-in stations and an expansion of the lobby bar. Interiors were re-designed to create a contemporary feel including pristine white stone floors, natural wall coverings and textured ceiling treatments. Other features include Anigre wall paneling, streamlined furniture in warm, muted tones and varying textures. Clean-lined, stone-topped coffee tables, beautifully-appointed sofas and arm chairs in shades of beige and sea foam green and custom rugs grace the lobby while rich, burnt-orange pillows embellish the sofas displaying design versatility.
The contemporary atmosphere and color scheme of the lobby continues into the lobby bar. Features include a stone bar top in shades of dark brown and green, simple bar stools with leather cushions and sleek banquette sofas. Glass panels are situated strategically behind the bar emitting natural light while reinforced wooden panels with a unique, organic design separate the reception area from the bar.
